AppSight 7.0 for Windows /.NET now available

BMC Software is announcing the availability of AppSight 7.0 for Windows/ .NET. AppSight 7.0 extends market lead of the most comprehensive and deep application problem resolution technology ever developed for Microsoft Windows and .NET.
AppSight 7.0 introduces various new capabilities, many customer feature requests and usability improvements. The new version highlights include:

• Support for Windows Vista, IE7.0 and .Net Framework 3.0
• Performance and execution time alerts for easier resolution of performance-related problems
• Integration with Microsoft Symbol Server
• HTTP based distributed deployment
• Enhanced log navigation and analysis views
• Extensions to the AppSight API including a Web Service interface
• More flexibility in controlling the level of information saved in a log
• Enhanced configuration data – such as the list of running processes, to allow even more relevant data about the application environment.
• Configuration data can now be exported

AppSight 7.0 (J2EE) is now available


BMC AppSight Application Problem Resolution System 7.0 for the J2EE platform is now available. AppSight System 7.0 enables a fully automated multi-platform end-to-end pre-production workflow and provides a solution for all parties across the defect life cycle in pre-production environments.


What’s New in AppSight 7.0 (J2EE component):

• Enables a fully automated multi platform end-to-end pre-production workflow using save on request mechanism. Save on request is a mechanism that enables AppSight server to maintain an in-memory buffer that holds recorded data. When a tester reports a problem using AppSight Test Recorder only the relevant recorded data is physically stored in AppSight server’s repository.
• Enhance production and load testing workflows by using transaction sampling. Transaction Sampling provides the user a way to control the amount of data that is actually stored by enabling the Black Box to effectively trace only a certain percentage out of all recorded transactions.
• Infrastructure improvements such as using MaxDB as AppSight’s out-of-the-box embedded database
